One month down
Published on December 4, 2004 By Beninian Annie In Misc
Well, as of today exactly I have been a volunteer for one month. It has flown by in general, especially this last week, because of traveling. But, I had to go to the bigger city to get money. We get paid every three months, I think it equals like 600 bucks every three months, Can you imagine, oh well, it is plenty of money and I think I will be able to save some for trips and vacations,

This week I gave quizzes to all my class, So far it is the really only frustrating part of my job, The kids try to cheat and I just get tired of trying to outmart them, I know grades are a part of life, but I also think they get in the way of learning a lot of the time,

Oh well, but on Wednesday i was surprised with a big dinner complaments of my school administration, It was really cool and neat to be appreciated,

Alrighty, this keyboard sucks and I really have nothing new to report, I should be checking e mail around the 21st. Then, a bunch of people are comming to my house to celebrate Christmas and my Birthday. Volunteers that is. Alrighty, love you all.

It reminds me of playing in the Spoleto Festival Orchestra in Italy and getting paid 10 dollars a day. HOWEVER, that was 6000 lira, and a bowl of pasta in a restaurant was 200 lira! At the end of the four weeks, I had enough to spend the rest of the summer in Europe (Belgium, Florence, Bayreuth, Germany, all playing in different orchestras). Imagine going to the office once a week to pick up my 42,000 lira!! Remember also our family having over a million of whatever the currency was in Ecuador?! Money is so relative.
