Here in the Capital

Quick note. Here in the capital, actually in the Peace Corps office. Yesterday was a beautiful day. I shopped, ate a cheesburger, pizza, and had draft beer. I know, the little things. Alrighty, there is a long line for the computers. Love you all. I am heading back to Lokossa today and cooking for 18. Yeah, not that excited, but it is a good gift for my homestay family.

Hey Annie,
I'm back from Germany and Austria, where I had an absolutely wonderful time. I won't bore you with details, but it was a very meaningful experience to return to my once adopted homeland, particularly before such an important election. I came back to find out, somewhat discouragingly, that Tom and the Grandparents tried to call you without success. I don't know the specific details, but apparently they couldn't get a connection. I hope you will still have access to a computer during your assignment; if by any chance you have a phone connection, even once a week at an appointed time, that would be great.
All through Europe, I was thinking about a family visit in Benin, and would like to propose that we wait until Xmas of 2005, when I know that both Mike and Tom can come. If you end up spending more time there, maybe that could be a new Reifsnyder family tradition?! Let me know your thoughts. AND, congratulations on passing the test. C'est belle, n'est-ce pas?
