Alumni Reunion Weekend
Published on June 13, 2004 By Beninian Annie In Misc
Hey guys,

This weekend was fun, I guess for a multitude of reasons. First, it was technically my first alumni reunion weekend. It is such a prescribed week and that pisses me off a bit, but I guess that is the only way to do it. The sound of the trolley tooling alumns around makes me feel like a buisness woman sucking up to 2,000 people just to get money. However, at Alpha Chi I guess I understoond the real reason for such a weekend. One of the 50th reunion women had a tear in her eye as I handed her a t-shirt. Gamma Beta Tau - wihich for me means Girls Basketball Team, but for her signafied one of the best times of her life. It made me think - what would bring a tear to my eye in fifty years. What would it take?

Other random moments:
-- Also at the house, after I told this woman I was going to Benin she said to me "Go with God and Don't get AIDS."
-- Went to Indy and Swish and Ashyley's for Brink's Birthday
-- Sat in Bowman with Jaci drinking Beer in the Nalgene. It was cool. Before we just chilled with Smaltzy, Mandlebaum, Amy, Kala, Durr, Janelle (Who Cut her hair), Suzanne and Kelly
-- Ariane came down for the weekend. And I saw B-Diddy in a mini-van. It looked so comfortable on him.
-- Broadripple Village is exactly like frat hopping. I saw Andy Smitt, Jessy Schaab, and so many other DPU alumns. BTW Brandon and Jason Becker were wearing matching purple shirts walking down the streets with AJ Feeny-Ruiz.
-- I dunked hard core on Brink's head during Swish and I's intense game of pool basketball (They did win 20-14 though). That hoop is the coolest floating devise on the planet.
