So, I am no longer Annie the Beninian, but instead the Togolese. I am in Kara, the northern capital of Togo to meet Alison Agee, my buddy from DePauw who is comming to visit.

All is well, but sadly the end of school is nearing. We have just three weeks left. That means one more quiz and one test left to grade. AHHHH!!!!!!

Despite not being in contact, I have stayed busy. The all-volunteer conference went extremely well and I got amazing feedback on my presentation. There are now 10 plus volunteers who want to reproduce my teacher training. I also have officially applied for my third year. I had one interview with the inspector s office in Paraou, who would be my work partner. They told me and my boss Maria that they were excited about a possible collaboration.

So, that leave Peace Corps. My interview with them will be on May 30th and I will no later that day if I receive the position. That is right after are close of service conference. So, wish me luck, this is a big month.

Think of you all frequently as always.

Annie

Hi Annie,
Just some news tidbits. First of all, I am going to be in Germany from May1-May15th, visiting Mainz, the Rhine and Mosel Valleys, Heidelberg, the Black Forest, Stuttgart, Wurzburg, Nurnberg, and Bamberg. Second, I have been asked to play Principal Trombone in the Waukesha Symphony next season (it is a very fine orchestra, although a long ride from Appleton). Third, I sold my condo in one day! It closes on May 31st, but I am renting it from the buyer until July 15th, which gives Jane and I more time to buy a house in the Appleton area. When I know my new address, I will make sure to notify the Peace Corps, so that mail will be sent to the right place. Imagine, first trombone in an excellent orchestra and marital bliss! Quite a comeback, eh?!
Love,
Dad

Hi Annie!
I hope all is well! That is so exciting that you may be staying in Africa for another year. A friend of mine (well, another of the greek advisors at Univ. of Vermont) is actually heading to Africa with the Peace Corps in July-- he will be in the Gambia doing computer stuff, so if you are in that neck of the woods, keep your eye out!

I am getting ready for my move to North Carolina, just less than a month away! Wow!

I hope all of that grading is going well!

I am sure you stunned them with your brilliance!
